The International Integrity Coalition praises the organization and provision of committees in the second phase of the elections "Representatives"

 The Nazaha International Coalition to follow up on the House of Representatives elections confirmed the efficiency of the organizational procedures and the process of securing the electoral committees by the security forces, during the voting days for the second stage, especially with the active presence of the women police, assisting the elderly, and providing them with amenities.

The Nazaha Coalition – in a statement this evening, Tuesday – pointed to the desire of citizens to participate in the elections, especially from Egyptian women, which reflects an awareness of the importance of the constitutional entitlement, and stresses the importance of Active participation to ensure the integrity of the elections in a way that expresses the true will of citizens.

 

He praised the disappearance of electoral propaganda in front of the polling stations, during the second phase of the House of Representatives elections, as no propaganda banners or posters were detected in front of the schools in which the voting process took place.

 

The coalition also welcomed the measures taken by the National Elections Authority and the Ministry of Interior regarding confronting A number of violations, whether related to breaking the electoral silence by supporters of some candidates, or arresting a number of supporters of candidates who are trying to buy votes in a number of constituencies, in a way that ensures enhancing the integrity of the electoral process and its disciplined conduct, and preventing any attempts to influence the will of voters.

 

It includes the "Integrity Coalition" It consists of 34 international observers from 16 countries, representing four international organizations: the Eliska Relief Foundation (Ghana), the Gales International Forum (Uganda), the Eco Organization (Greece), and the International Alliance for Integration and Sustainability (Malta – the United Kingdom). The Maat Foundation for Peace, Development and Human Rights, as the accredited local partner, is responsible for supervising the coordination of the mission’s work inside Egypt, based on its extensive experience in the field of electoral follow-up and the promotion of human rights. The Integrity Coalition followed up on 19% of the total number of subcommittees at the republic level, during the two voting phases. The mission visited 720 electoral committees during the first phase, and 1,320 committees during the second phase, out of 10,893 subcommittees at the republic level, according to a deployment plan that ensured a presence inside the polling centers and monitoring the progress of the electoral process on the ground, including voting procedures and the extent of compliance.
