Meraas awards a construction contract worth 1.9 billion dirhams

Meraas, a subsidiary of Dubai Holding Properties, awarded a contract worth 1.9 billion dirhams to the United Construction Engineering Company (UNEC), to carry out the construction work of the villa complex “The Acres” in the Dubailand area. The contract includes the completion of the first batch, which includes 642 villas with attached community facilities, by the last quarter of 2027. The CEO of Dubai Holding Properties, Khaled Al Malik, said: “The Acres represents the next phase of Meraas’ vision, which aims to build residential environments in which sophisticated design, sustainability and quality of life come together.”
For his part, Chairman of the Board of Directors of UNIC, Abdul Halim Mohahid, said, “The company will implement the project according to distinguished levels of quality and sustainability.”
