A Chinese delegation visits the Ras Al Khaimah Chamber to discuss cooperation opportunities

Ras Al Khaimah, November 26 / WAM / The Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce received a delegation from the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Guangdong Province in the People’s Republic of China, headed by Wan Shuping, Deputy Director General of the Department, and a membership of 5 Chinese officials representing the China International Exhibition for Small and Medium Enterprises in the province.

The delegation was received by Youssef Ismail, First Vice President of the Chamber, Chairman of the Supreme Committee of the Saud Bin Saqr Foundation for the Development of Youth Projects, Mohammed Al-Sabab, Deputy Director-General of the Chamber, and Iman Al-Hayas, Director-General of the Saud Bin Saqr Foundation for the Development of Youth Projects.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed opportunities for joint future cooperation between the Chamber, the Corporation, and the Chinese side in many sectors, including medical, manufacturing industries, and information technology.

The Vice President of the Chamber reviewed the mechanism of its work and activity, the nature of the services it provides to the business community and investors, and its role in achieving the goals of industrial and economic development in the emirate.

Yousef Ismail reviewed the role of the Saud Bin Saqr Foundation for Youth Enterprise Development, which supports small and medium-sized youth projects, by providing service support, developing and strengthening the entrepreneurship environment, providing training and guidance, simplifying official procedures, providing consultations, and assisting in accessing local and global markets, stressing the Foundation’s keenness to participate in the China-ASEAN Exhibition.

For its part, the Chinese delegation praised the industrial production capabilities enjoyed by the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, expressing their aspiration to organize Chinese trade exhibitions in Ras Al Khaimah, to inform the business community of the products of Guangdong Province and its economic and manufacturing potential, in order to support trade exchange and joint cooperation between the two sides.

The Chinese delegation stressed the importance of small projects, which represent the cornerstone of economic and social development, and contribute to creating job opportunities and developing the national economy, in addition to stimulating innovation and supporting young people by enabling them to build their own projects.

The delegation invited the Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce and the Saud Bin Saqr Foundation for Youth Enterprise Development to participate in the 23rd session of the China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO), which will be held in September 2026. The exhibition is a major platform for trade and economic cooperation between China and ASEAN countries, with more than 1,500 companies from China alone participating.
