Slot announces the return of the Liverpool goalkeeper "Baker" To the team before facing West Ham

Liverpool’s Dutch coach, Arne Slot, announced today, Thursday, that Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson Becker is close to returning to participate, before the team’s match against West Ham United scheduled for next Sunday in the English Premier League, following his absence from the team’s match against PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League last Wednesday due to a health illness.
Slot confirmed – according to the club’s official website – that Alisson has returned to the team’s group training, expressing his hope. In his readiness for the upcoming match, he added that German midfielder Florian Wirtz is also close to resuming his group training after recovering from a muscle injury that caused him to miss the last two matches, saying: “Tomorrow will be his last day in the rehabilitation program, and if things go well, he will participate in Saturday’s training.”
In the same context, the coach explained that French striker Hugo Ekitic had suffered a minor back injury during a match. Eindhoven, and was replaced in the second half, stressing that the injury is not serious, and also pointed out that the combination of matches may affect the player’s readiness for the next match.
