He explained that these awards play a pivotal role in improving the quality of services, enhancing sustainability, and encouraging the exchange of knowledge, which supports Abu Dhabi’s leadership in developing the emirate’s maritime sector, and consolidates its position as a global maritime center.

For his part, Captain Saif Al Muhairi, CEO of Abu Dhabi Marine, and Chief Sustainability Officer at Abu Dhabi Ports Group, said that the Abu Dhabi Marine Awards are more than just a celebration; It represents a catalyst for the advancement of the marina sector, and every year, we witness tangible progress in the areas of innovation, safety and sustainability, led by a distinguished elite of individuals and institutions.

This year, the Abu Dhabi Marine Awards witnessed the use of an artificial intelligence tool within the secure electronic platform for submitting and evaluating nomination applications.

As in previous editions, applications submitted to participate in the Abu Dhabi Marine Awards were initially analyzed by teams of qualified evaluators, who awarded points to participants according to the criteria for each award category.

The AI tool organized the awards’ application data in a way that was easily accessible to the evaluators, and identified potential strengths and weaknesses in the applications for them to take into account during their comprehensive reviews.

The evaluators then presented their results to the jury members, who during their deliberations took into account the points awarded by the evaluators to the participants, in addition to conducting an independent qualitative examination of each participant before selecting the winners.

In the same context, the use of an artificial intelligence tool within the Abu Dhabi Maritime Awards contributed to laying the foundation for integrating this advanced technology in the future as a complementary element to human evaluation and arbitration processes.

The Abu Dhabi Marine Awards model is based on pioneering standards derived from the best multi-sector awards programs in the world.

One of the notable aspects that we are witnessing this year is the diversity of the extensive professional experiences enjoyed by the 13 assessors, starting from the fields of customer experience strategy, quality management, marketing, sustainable development and organizational excellence, during their work in 12 countries spread over five continents, which adds valuable insights to their analyzes and enhances the comprehensive approach adopted in evaluating the awards.

The Abu Dhabi Maritime Awards 2025 jury also included an elite group of distinguished leaders whose stature and experience contributed to ensuring a rigorous, independent and visionary evaluation process, supported by decades of experience in the sector, consulting and quality frameworks. This integration contributed to enhancing the strength of the awards and their position as a measure of excellence in the maritime sector.

It is worth noting that the fourth edition of the Abu Dhabi Maritime Awards is scheduled to be held in the fall of 2026.
