Ajman Chamber participates in the Arab-Greek Economic Forum

Ajman, November 29 / WAM / The Ajman Chamber participated in the fourteenth “Arab-Greek Economic Forum”, which was held in the Greek capital of Athens on November 27 and 28, and witnessed the participation of senior government officials, business leaders, economic experts and a wide group of investors from Arab countries and Greece.
The forum’s activities addressed economic visions and investment prospects in the construction and infrastructure sectors, innovative construction methods, the latest systems and sustainable practices in housing and confronting climate change, traditional electricity, “renewable energy, solar, wind energy” projects, green hydrogen and storage solutions, ports and logistics services, the importance of financing solutions in construction and energy projects, and digital transformation and artificial intelligence in developing and growing investments in key sectors.
His Excellency Sheikh Sultan bin Saqr Al Nuaimi, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Ajman Chamber, who headed the Chamber’s delegation to the forum, praised the strength of the Emirati-Greek relations and the depth of the ties between the two countries, and the advanced levels they have reached in economic cooperation as one of the advanced models of international economic and investment partnerships, especially in light of the two sides’ tendency to open new areas of cooperation and expand trade movement between them.
Al Nuaimi stressed the importance of the forum and its role in providing a leading international platform to enhance cooperation and partnership and expand investment horizons between the UAE and Greece, which contributes to pushing economic relations to more advanced levels. He pointed out that the forum has a pivotal role in exploring promising opportunities in a number of strategic sectors, especially the construction and energy sectors, which are among the fastest growing sectors and are distinguished by their ability to attract investments and provide promising future partnership opportunities.
Membership statistics in the Ajman Chamber indicate remarkable growth in the construction and real estate sector, as the number of memberships for building and construction activities reached 5,046 memberships from the beginning of the year until the end of the third quarter of this year, with a growth rate of 21% compared to the same period in 2024. Membership for real estate activities also reached 731 memberships, with a growth rate of 12%.
Al Nuaimi said that the Ajman Chamber is keen to build broader partnerships and bridges of communication with Greek entities, by examining opportunities to organize joint meetings and events that contribute to introducing investors to the available opportunities and promote the growth of trade and joint investments.
On the sidelines of the forum’s activities, His Excellency Sheikh Sultan bin Saqr Al Nuaimi held a series of bilateral meetings with participating delegations from the Arab country and Greece, which focused on enhancing economic cooperation, exchanging experiences, and exploring joint investment opportunities in various sectors, in a way that supports the consolidation of bilateral relations and opens new horizons for commercial partnerships, embodying the realization of Ajman Vision 2030, and to contribute to strengthening investment promotion programs and improving trade and service networks.
