Mohammed bin Rashid Library launches its cultural program for the month of December

Dubai, November 29 / WAM / The Mohammed bin Rashid Library announced its cultural and knowledge program for next December, which combines art, education, music, cinema and volunteering with the aim of providing a comprehensive community experience for all groups.
The library begins its activities with the Volunteering and Innovation Expo event, which attracts volunteers and creative people to celebrate International Volunteer Day, and includes an art exhibition for volunteers displaying works that embody the connection between art and community giving, in addition to a live drawing presented by volunteers of people of determination.
The event includes a dialogue session by Counselor Tariq Al Saif on the role of volunteering in building a cohesive society, and an segment, My Story with Volunteering, in which volunteers share their inspiring stories and concludes with honoring the volunteers in appreciation of their efforts.
The library, in cooperation with the Archives and the National Library, hosts a program on the importance of organizing and managing documents and archives in government agencies, which includes specialized workshops on legislation, archive standards, the system for managing electronic, current and intermediate documents, and methods for preserving and classifying records.
To develop children’s skills, the library organizes a programming and play laboratory activity that presents the basics of logical thinking and programming in an interactive way through smart educational tasks and games.
As part of the CineJuly screenings, the library displays five international short films from Canada, France, Germany, Morocco and South Korea in a cinematic evening that represents an interactive platform for young people and filmmakers and provides dialogue between the audience and the directors.
The library also hosts a musical evening on the oud instrument presented by young Emirati artists, which reflects support for national talent and enhances the presence of authentic Arabic music.
In celebration of International Arabic Language Day, the library is organizing a dialogue with the artist Marcel Khalife to talk about the classical poems he composed and his role in strengthening the relationship between Arabic music and poetry.
