The Minister of Youth and Sports reveals new scenes about the Zamalek land crisis in October

Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, spoke about the Zamalek club’s land crisis and stressed that the ministry will not let Zamalek collapse as a major sports institution in Egypt.
He said in television statements on Al-Nahar channel: “The Zamalek board of directors did not submit its resignation if the October land crisis was not resolved, and I have not received anything official.”
He added: “My responsibility is to defend sports institutions and not let an institution collapse, even if it has a general assembly, and the Zamalek Club is experiencing a crisis of instability.”
He continued: “The October land is supposed to be built on it for the purpose for which it was granted, and there is a period of time to implement these constructions, and there was a complaint from the Zamalek Club itself and the matter reached the prosecution.”
He explained: “The Board of Directors went to the prosecution and they answered some matters, and the investigation is now about the extent of the impact on public funds and why no constructions were built.”
He continued: “There is a periodic inspection of sports institutions, and there is an inspection with a complaint.”
He revealed: “Zamalek requested a loan during the last period to adjust its affairs and obtained it with the guarantee of its memberships from the company.” Sponsor".
He added: All possibilities exist to support Zamalek and I am communicating with the club president, but the focus must be on the goal and what Zamalek will do, even if it obtains an alternative land.
