The Kingdom achieved a new achievement at the international level after recording advanced results in the report measuring awareness of Innovationabout 80%, which placed the Kingdom at the forefront of countries globally in this indicator.
Intellectual Property Rights
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia recorded a remarkable growth in the awareness of youth and women about intellectual property rights, to be among the countries that contribute most to raising the average performance of the group of countries in the Asia-Pacific region in this aspect.
This advanced performance embodies the efforts made by the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property in enhancing societal awareness and developing the system of respect for intellectual property rights, in addition to Intensifying national initiatives aimed at increasing compliance and reducing violations, which contributed to enhancing Saudi consumer confidence in original products and the amount of value that intellectual property rights provide to society.
It is noteworthy that the 2025 Intellectual Property Awareness Report (WIPO Pulse) is an international reference for measuring societies’ understanding of intellectual property rights and their impact on the economy, and focuses on five main axes that include: awareness of rights, consumer perception of protected products, benefits of innovation, and confidence in the role of intellectual property in the economy.
