From Al Wasl Stadium… “Minute 96” qualifies Al Jazira for a fiery clash with Al Wahda

Al Jazira completed the semi-finals of the semi-finals of the Professional League Cup (Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank Cup), after defeating Al Wasl 2-1, setting up a fiery encounter with Al Wahda in the semi-finals.
Al Wasl opened the scoring with a penalty kick carried out by Pedro Malheiro just 10 minutes into the second half, and Al Jazira’s response did not take long, as Vinicius Melo was able to equalize just two minutes later with a well-placed shot.
While the match was heading to penalty kicks, Nikola Vukic was able to score the winning goal in the 90+6 minute, giving his team a very important victory.
The match witnessed a rare event, after the Romanian match referee, Stefan Kovac, canceled three goals, two goals for Al Jazira, and another for Al Wasl, after reviewing the “VAR” technique.
