Victory over Al Jazira restores confidence to Al Wasl

The technical director of Al-Wasl team, the Swedish coach Masoud Miral, congratulated his players on the valuable victory over their guest Al-Jazira with a goal without a response, in the match that brought them together yesterday in the 13th round of the ADNOC Professional League, describing the victory as representing the return of confidence to the “Emperor”, and the team’s ability to show its true identity, especially in the second half.

Miral said in press statements: “The team started the match well, but we did not create many chances. Things changed in the second half, and the team was able to show its character and come out with a winning result.”

He added: “We discussed at half-time the things that needed to be corrected on the field, and through the changes we were able to enhance the effectiveness, so that the result we were looking for came about, and we scored the three points.”

Regarding the changes made by the technical staff compared to the last Shabab Al-Ahly match, Miral explained: “We made only two changes to the starting lineup, by bringing in Fabio Lima and the goalkeeper. Every match has its own calculations, and our team performed well against Shabab Al-Ahly, but small details led to the loss.” Al Wasl’s goal was scored by Renato Junior in the fourth minute of stoppage time, and Al Wasl’s score rose to 25 points, while Al Jazira remained with 12 points.
