Within the framework of the National Month activities, Brand Dubai, the creative arm of the Dubai Government Media Office, in cooperation with Dubai Municipality, revealed the implementation of creative work that supports the objectives of the “Zayed and Rashid” campaign, the first edition of which was launched last year under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Chairman of the Dubai Media Council. Brand Dubai continues to organize it for the second year in a row, and is the focus of the National Month activities, in the area opposite the “The Frame” building, one of the most important modern landmarks of Dubai.

The work was carried out at the intersection of Sheikh Zayed Road and near Zabeel Park. It is a picture that brings together the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, may God have mercy on them, in the middle of the roundabout opposite the Frame building, in a message that reflects the extent of gratitude and loyalty to the path of the two founding leaders and pride in their great national legacy, and their vision that formed the solid foundation for the renaissance of the UAE and its path. Development, which over the course of more than half a century has been marked by many important civilizational achievements.

Executive Director of the Public Utilities Corporation in Dubai Municipality, Badr Anwahi, stressed the municipality’s pride in the qualitative partnership with Brand Dubai, within the framework of which this work comes, coinciding with the activities of the “National Month” and the “Zayed and Rashid” campaign. He said: “The implementation of the work comes within the framework of the municipality’s ongoing efforts to beautify the city and enhance the presence of national messages in the public space during the National Month. This work is a symbol of the values ​​of unity, loyalty and belonging established by Sheikh Zayed and Sheikh Rashid, may God have mercy on them. The choice of its location opposite the Frame Building came in agreement with Brand Dubai to embody the connection between the past and the present, and remind generations that the UAE was built on an ambitious vision and a will that does not know the impossible.

Anouhi explained that the work was carried out using multi-colored gravel that was carefully and professionally paved over an insulating layer that ensures its stability so that the details of the image appear clearly so that the work is visible from above to form an innovative national painting that expresses the spirit of the union and highlights the values of loyalty, belonging and pride in the national heritage of the UAE. He pointed out that the project represents an aesthetic addition to the region and a national artistic message that is inspired by the vision of the founding fathers, and translates the values of renaissance and union in a creative visual style that is consistent with the cultural status. to Dubai, and contributes to enhancing the atmosphere of celebration of this precious national occasion.

An inspiring model
For her part, Director of Brand Dubai, Shaima Al Suwaidi, expressed sincere thanks and appreciation for the continuous and fruitful cooperation on the part of Dubai Municipality, noting its great role in highlighting the city’s aesthetics and confirming its position among the best cities in the world to live, work and visit, with the cultural projects it undertakes that increase Dubai’s splendor and splendor as a global city closely linked to its ancient history and culture.

In turn, Amina Taher, member of the organizing committee of the Zayed and Rashid Campaign, explained that the campaign represents an open invitation to the public to be inspired by the thought and vision of the two leaders in daily practices and community initiatives, noting that the most important message is to transform the leadership legacy into positive energy that pushes towards the future.

She said: “We want this campaign to be a platform that highlights the great humanitarian and development legacy left by the late Sheikh Zayed and Sheikh Rashid, may God have mercy on them… Their generosity and their endeavor to establish the foundations of a nation capable of facing challenges and crossing over to a prosperous future in which the country today tops global development indicators, will continue to be a source of important lessons in love of the nation and competition in achieving its prestige.”
