The Ruler of Fujairah witnesses the Martyrs’ Day ceremony at Wahat Al Karama in Abu Dhabi

ABU DHABI, 30 November / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Fujairah, witnessed the “Martyr’s Day” ceremony that took place today in the Oasis of Dignity in Abu Dhabi in commemoration of the nation’s righteous martyrs, in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Dhiab bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Head of the Presidential Office for Development Affairs and the Families of the Martyrs.

The ceremony was attended by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, His Highness Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, His Highness Sheikh Hamid bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Omar bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Zayed Higher Authority for People of Determination, and His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The ceremony was also witnessed by His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, His Excellency Sheikh Shakhbut bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State, Major General Sheikh Ahmed bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, and His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa bin Mohammed bin Khalid.

Al Nahyan, UAE Ambassador to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa bin Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Chief of the Court of the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Khalifa bin Sultan bin Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Dr. Rashid bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Chairman of the Fujairah Culture and Media Authority, Sheikh Maktoum bin Hamad Al Sharqi, along with a number of Their Highnesses Sheikhs, Their Excellencies the ministers and senior state officials, including civilians and military personnel, families of martyrs, and a gathering of Members of the country’s diplomatic corps and guests.

On this occasion, His Highness the Ruler of Fujairah honored 4 families of the martyrs’ families and handed them the “Martyr’s Medal” as a sign of pride in their heroic children.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, granting medals to the families of the martyrs comes as an expression of the appreciation that the state leadership attaches to the patriotic positions demonstrated by the families of the martyrs, during which they wrote the most wonderful stories of loyalty to the homeland and its wise leadership, in addition to being an initiative of loyalty and gratitude to the martyrs, whose memory will remain immortal in the hearts of the people of the Emirates, the memory of the nation, and a source of inspiration for future generations.

His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi headed to the main stage, where the national anthem of the United Arab Emirates was played.

Her Excellency Shamma bint Suhail Al Mazrouei, Minister of Community Empowerment, delivered the Martyr’s Day speech, during which she said: “The UAE is a homeland preserved by the martyrs with their blood… and we will preserve it with our loyalty and honesty. Talking about martyrs is talking about a presence that cannot be absent, a presence in the spirit of our people, in the features of our homeland, and in every step we take. For the families of the martyrs, there are no words that fill the void left by the dearest people, but we know, and the world knows, that you brought them to the homeland.” His most valuable gifts, and your patience and steadfastness have made the UAE stronger.”

Her Excellency added: “The path they left for us is a path of light that shows us how to build, how to protect, and how to rise. Our martyrs are alive with their Lord, alive in the conscience of the nation, and alive in every advancement we achieve, every sincerity we offer, and every step we take in the name of the Emirates because our lives in which we are saved are an extension of their lives in which they sacrificed.”

In her Martyr’s Day speech, Her Excellency addressed the highest expressions of thanks and gratitude to the wise leadership, led by His Highness the President of the State, in appreciation of the interest and care that His Highness gives to the children of the martyrs and their families, and his embrace of them and reviving hope and determination in their souls to continue the journey and carry the banner with all pride and pride.

Her Excellency said: “Under the vision and leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, the families of the martyrs are not alone and will not be alone. The families of the martyrs are the family of the entire nation, a family that embodies the purest meanings of loyalty and the truest levels of belonging, a family that is surrounded by the people with love, and that the nation carries on its shoulder before its heart. From them begins the light of the Emirates and to them its glory returns, and with the entry of the Year of the Family, we realize that the strength of the Emirates begins with the strength of its homes.”

The occasion of “Martyr’s Day” witnessed a special show that embodied the sacrifices of the Emirati martyrs, and woven the stories of their heroism and courage into scenes full of pride.

The display included the values ​​of the seven martyrs and the immortal sacrifices and heroism they embody in the memory of the nation, and included an artistic painting “Chorale” with the participation of children to reflect the year of society, highlighting the role of society in promoting social cohesion and the noble values ​​on which Emirati society is based, stressing that the martyr is the ultimate model of giving and redemption that derives its strength from a cohesive society that believes in the nation and supports its people.

The ceremony included the illumination of four lights in memory of the heroic martyrs who were martyred while performing their national duties, and the flight of a squadron of Air Force and Air Defense aircraft over the oasis sky, forming a soldier’s portrait, as an expression of pride in the sacrifices of those who gave their lives so that the flag of the United Arab Emirates would remain dear and tall.
