Successful and fruitful…negotiators praise the US-Ukrainian talks in Florida
Ukrainian negotiators were held in Florida, on Sunday, a new round of talks with the American side regarding Washington’s plan to end War with Russia, in light of increasing pressure on Kiev on the ground and politically.

The Ukrainian delegation was headed by Secretary of the National Security Council, Rustam Umarov, while from the American side, the Minister of Foreign Affairs participated Marco Rubio, Special Envoy Steve Wojtikoff, and Jared Kushner, President Donald Trump’s son-in-law.
There is still a long way to go
Rubio said at the end of the sessions: "We had another very productive session, but there is still more work to do"
Umarov repeated the same description, confirming that the discussions were "Fruitful and successful"And it focused on Ukraine’s future and security, preventing the recurrence of aggression against it, and its reconstruction.
An informed Ukrainian source explained to Agence France-Presse that the talks "Not easy" Because of the continued search for formulas acceptable to both parties, he stressed that the discussions are constructive, and that all parties "Concerned with reaching a practical outcome that allows direct negotiations between the United States and Russia"
The Ukrainian military leadership participated in a closed session devoted to discussing sensitive issues, including security and borders.
Controversial American plan
Washington had presented a first draft of 28 points to put an end to the conflict, which included the withdrawal of Ukrainian forces from Donetsk and American recognition of the fait accompli in Donetsk, Crimea and Lugansk as Russian territory, which sparked objection from Kiev and several European capitals.
