Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance: Union Day is a milestone of pride in the nation’s achievements
Dubai, 1st December / WAM / His Excellency Younis Haji Al Khouri, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance, affirmed that the 54th Union Day is a milestone of pride in the journey of achievements of a nation that has been able to consolidate its position among the most advanced countries in the world thanks to its proactive vision, its established institutions, and its wise leadership that has placed people at the heart of development.
He said that the UAE has succeeded in building a flexible and diversified economic model based on knowledge and innovation, and is distinguished by its ability to adapt to global changes and invest in new opportunities to enhance its competitiveness.
He added that the Union’s journey today continues at an accelerated pace towards achieving ambitious development goals that enhance the well-being of society, the sustainability of resources and the efficiency of government performance, within the framework of a comprehensive development vision that looks to the future with determination and steadfastness.
He said: This year’s slogan “United” reflects the depth of the Emirati experience, which was based on partnership and integration between all segments of society and its institutions, within the framework of a single vision that brings them together to love the nation and work for its progress and prosperity. We, at the Ministry of Finance, continue to work on developing financial policies that support sustainable growth, and enhancing cooperation with partners locally and internationally in a way that contributes to consolidating the country’s position as a leading financial center in the region and the world. On this national occasion, we renew our pledge to continue the journey in the spirit of unity to serve the nation and enhance its prosperity.
