The Emirates Sharia Fatwa confirms its commitment to consolidating the principles of tolerance and community service

The Emirates Council for Sharia Fatwa celebrated, at the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi, the occasion of the 54th Union Day, in the presence of Sheikh Abdullah bin Bayyah, Chairman of the Council, and Dr. Omar Habtoor Al-Darai, Vice-President of the Council.
The ceremony witnessed wide participation from Council members, fatwa cadres, and all employees, in a national atmosphere that reflected the depth of cohesion and the spirit of pride in the Emirati identity.
In a keynote speech during the ceremony, Sheikh Abdullah bin Bayyah stressed that Union Day represents an annual milestone for renewing the pledge to the values of goodness, love, and giving established by the founding fathers. He said: This occasion reminds us of the great efforts that were made to build a state based on tolerance, coexistence, cooperation, and love of goodness for all humanity.
He praised the inspiring march of the UAE under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him,” describing it as an exceptional success story based on adherence to authentic values with conscious openness to civilizations, which has established the country’s pioneering role in shaping the future of humanity globally.
The ceremony included a number of national and heritage performances that embodied the Council’s close connection with the Emirati heritage, including poetic poems that sang of love for the homeland, and visual performances that documented the blessed march of the Union and the features of the comprehensive renaissance in various fields.
The Council concluded its celebration by renewing the pledge of loyalty and belonging to the wise leadership, stressing its firm commitment to continuing its mission of promoting national values, consolidating the principles of tolerance, and serving society in line with the leadership’s vision of building a cohesive homeland and a prosperous society.
