Conclusion of the 46th Gulf Summit in Bahrain
Manama, 3 December / WAM / The 46th Gulf Summit was concluded today at Sakhir Palace, headed by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, with the participation of Their Majesties and Highnesses, leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries and heads of delegations.
At the conclusion of the summit, His Majesty the King of Bahrain delivered a speech in which he affirmed the keenness of the GCC countries to strengthen the Gulf cooperation process, strengthen the security of the region, and complete economic integration projects, stressing the importance of continuing on the paths of food and water security and the digital economy, and continuing to support political efforts aimed at achieving regional stability, foremost of which is support for a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue.
Her Excellency Giorgia Meloni, Prime Minister of Italy, also delivered a speech in which she expressed her country’s appreciation for the strategic partnership with the GCC countries, stressing Italy’s support for strengthening regional security and expanding areas of economic and technical cooperation, especially in the areas of clean energy, digital transformation, and maritime security, stressing the importance of the Gulf role in the stability of the region.
For his part, His Excellency Jassim Mohammed Al-Budaiwi, Secretary-General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, presented a presentation of the most prominent achievements achieved during the year 2025, pointing to the progress in economic integration projects, the development of the joint security and defense system, and the implementation of international partnership programs, in addition to the unified efforts achieved by the GCC countries in confronting the recent regional challenges, stressing the stability of the Gulf position towards supporting the Palestinian cause.
The summit concluded with an emphasis on continuing joint coordination, strengthening institutional work, and supporting paths of integration and cooperation to achieve development and prosperity for the peoples of the GCC countries.
