Launch indicator "FTSE Abu Dhabi Market for the highest cash dividends"

ABU DHABI, December 3, 2017 – The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange Group announced the expansion of the set of investment tools in the market through the launch of the “FTSE Abu Dhabi Market Highest Dividend Index”, which is the first of its kind in the region.
According to a press release issued today, this index, which is now available, provides investors with access to stocks with continuous and high income flows within the strong and vibrant capital market in Abu Dhabi.
The index will launch with 17 listed companies that reflect the diversity of the economic landscape in the emirate, and includes companies characterized by strong and continuous performance in dividends and with diversified operations, with an operational presence that extends across multiple markets and countries, which enhances Abu Dhabi’s growing economic influence beyond the borders of the region.
These companies distributed more than 70% of the total dividends of companies listed on the market during the year 2025, and the strength of their financial performance is evident in the increase in their consolidated net profits during the first nine months of 2025 by 20% compared to the same period in 2024, which confirms the strength of the financial foundations of these companies and the solidity of their operational performance.
The index includes a number of vital sectors that form the pillars of Abu Dhabi’s active economy, including communications services, industries, energy, financial services, luxury consumer goods, basic consumer goods, and basic materials.
It is the seventeenth index in the FTSE Abu Dhabi Market index series, and the fifth among the main indices launched in partnership with FTSE Russell.
The launch of this index reinforces Abu Dhabi Market’s ongoing efforts to deepen the market and expand the tools available to investors.
