Dubai, 5 March / WAM / The Federal Tax Authority obtained the “Certificate of Innovative Government Institution” (CGInO) from the “Global Innovation Institute” with the highest international rating granted by the Institute with a rating of 7 stars, confirming the important achievements made by the Authority in the field of innovation, which reflects the maturity of its institutional system and its leadership at the international level in developing and applying the best innovative practices in the government sector.

The “CGInO” certificate is considered one of the most prestigious international certificates in the field of institutional innovation, and is granted to entities that succeed in integrating the concepts of sustainable innovation into their strategies, operational processes, and institutional services.

His Excellency Abdulaziz Mohammed Al Mulla, Director General of the Federal Tax Authority, received the international certificate during his reception of representatives of the “Global Innovation Institute” at the Authority’s headquarters in Dubai, in the presence of Jassim Haddad, Executive Director of the Support Services Sector at the Authority, and a number of officials from the Authority and the Institute.

His Excellency Abdulaziz Al-Mulla stressed the importance of obtaining the certificate, noting that this achievement supports the Authority’s drive for excellence and making more efforts to enhance leadership in all areas of its work, to contribute to achieving the vision of the wise leadership aimed at making the UAE one of the best and most developed countries in the world.

He said that the Authority was able to obtain this global certificate by intensifying efforts to continuously develop institutional performance in all sectors of the Authority’s work, and these achievements are an incentive to continue working on launching more initiatives and innovations to provide more facilities in the services provided to customers through an institutional environment that encourages innovation and creativity.

For his part, Jassim Al Zarouni, Chief Innovation Officer, said that this achievement represents an important milestone in the Authority’s journey to consolidate the culture of institutional innovation, as innovation has become an essential element in the daily work methodology, and a major driver for developing services and operations and enhancing customer experiences.

For its part, the Federal Tax Authority explained that this achievement was the result of the integrated institutional efforts led by the authority’s innovation team headed by Jassim Al Zarouni, Chief Innovation Officer, and Moza Al Yasi, Vice President. The team prepared the evaluation file and fulfilled the accreditation requirements, in a way that reflects the competence of the national cadres. The evaluation procedures were implemented by reviewing the relevant documents and records over several sessions, during which a number of evaluators verified the fulfillment of the requirements for obtaining the certificate.

The Authority indicated that although it obtained a certificate for the third year in office, the importance of obtaining the new certificate is that it has a 7-star rating, which is the highest international rating that the “Global Innovation Institute” grants to entities that demonstrate advanced integration between strategy, operations, human resources, and modern technologies, with a measurable, sustainable impact of innovation initiatives on the efficiency of institutional performance and the quality of the Authority’s services, which reflects the Authority’s commitment to a clear strategic vision to enhance institutional innovation and achieve excellence in the provision of government services.
