Dubai Media City reviews the future of the media industry at the Bridge Summit 2025

Dubai, 4 December / WAM / Dubai Media City is highlighting the rapid growth witnessed by the media sector in the region and its increasing competitive capabilities during its participation in the Bridge 2025 Summit, which will be held from 8 to 10 December at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center (ADNEC), as it is the largest global platform that brings together elite media, culture and decision makers from around the world.

For more than two decades, Dubai Media City has proven its pivotal role in supporting the growth and advancement of the media and creativity sectors regionally, as it forms, along with Dubai Production City and Dubai Studio City, the media sector of the TECOM Group, which includes an integrated media environment that embraces a number of the most prominent international companies such as CNN, Reuters, Discovery Networks and Epson, in addition to a community of more than forty thousand creative people who contribute to enhancing the prosperity of the sector and meeting the needs of the evolving and constantly changing media landscape.

Dubai Media City’s participation in the Bridge Summit comes at a time when the media market in the Middle East and North Africa region is witnessing remarkable growth, as the Arab Media Outlook report, a future vision issued by the Dubai Press Club in cooperation with Dubai Media City and the strategic research partner, indicates that the value of the media sector in the region is expected to rise from seventeen billion dollars in 2024 to $20.6 billion in 2028, at a compound annual growth rate of 4.9 percent.

Majid Al Suwaidi, Senior Vice President of TECOM Group, Dubai Media City, Dubai Production City and Dubai Studio City, stressed the importance of enhancing cooperation between government and private agencies to chart common directions towards sustainable growth for the sector. He pointed out that digital transformation contributes to bringing about fundamental changes in work methods and consumption patterns and opens broad horizons for companies and innovators. He said that the Bridge Summit represents an opportunity to enhance creativity and push the sector towards new levels of excellence.

He added that Dubai Media City’s participation in this global event comes within the framework of its commitment to continue its role in shaping the future of the sector in line with the goals of the Dubai Economic Agenda 33, stressing the city’s keenness to support the community of creatives and content makers and enable them to shape a promising media future at the regional and global levels.

As part of its participation in the summit, Dubai Media City will showcase the integrated global system it provides that includes leading media companies and emerging companies, in addition to the business incubator “InFive Media,” which is participating in the event to support new companies through guidance services, communication opportunities, and advanced facilities for content creation, including production and recording studios, and screening and editing rooms that allow creators to develop media content with international standards.
