The former Liverpool star expects the date of Mohamed Salah’s departure from the team

Former Liverpool player, Jimmy Redknapp, predicted that the Egyptian international and Reds striker, Mohamed Salah, may separate from the club next January, after the relationship between the two parties reached the “point of separation.”
Redknapp said that Salah may leave the club in the coming months, adding that he would be surprised if the Egyptian player completed his contract with the club until its end, hinting at the possibility of his departure in January, according to what was reported by the British newspaper “Mirror”.
Redknapp expressed his fear that Liverpool and Salah’s relationship would end in a bitter separation, after the 33-year-old player sat on the bench for the second time in a row in the match in which Liverpool tied 1-1 against Sunderland.
He continued: “I would be astonished if he completed the remaining two years of his contract, or even a year and a half. The situation will not help. Nothing in football would surprise me, whether he leaves in January or in the summer.”
Dutch coach Arne Slot excluded Salah from Liverpool’s starting lineup in the club’s last two matches, in what appears to be a simulation of a “Liverpool without Salah” scenario.
Since the beginning of the season, Salah has faced a torrent of criticism and calls to get rid of him after his performance declined and his goal drought continued.
Last April, Salah signed a new contract with the Reds extending until 2027, after achieving one of his best seasons since his arrival to the club, as he contributed to the team winning the English Premier League, scoring 29 goals and providing 18 assists in 38 matches.
The Egyptian player was not the only one who suffered from a low level, as it seemed that a large portion of the team’s players did not find their rhythm under Slot’s leadership, which increased the pressure on the Dutch coach, especially after the accumulation of negative results.
