Ajman, 4 December / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Executive Council, received today, in the government agencies building in Ajman, a delegation from Meta, to discuss cooperation in the fields of digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and the development of the digital economy, in a way that supports the goals of Ajman Vision 2030.
His Highness the Crown Prince of Ajman welcomed the delegation of the international company, praising the role of Meta as one of the largest technology companies in the world.
His Highness said that Ajman seeks to build qualitative partnerships with major technology companies in a way that supports its digital and economic presence, enhances its position as an attractive destination for investment and innovation, and serves its future plans in the field of digital government.
His Highness pointed out the importance of benefiting from Meta’s capabilities in supporting the business environment in Ajman and attracting regional and international investments, noting that the emirate is working to develop an integrated digital system that makes it a competitive platform for startups and innovative technology projects.
His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi stressed that the Ajman government is continuing to enhance its readiness for the future and consolidate its position as a smart emirate capable of investing technology in the service of humanity and society.
The company’s delegation included Fares Akkad, Regional Director for the Middle East and North Africa, Maryam bint Obaid Al Muhairi, Director of Public Policy for the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, and Ahmed Shehadeh, Head of Government Affairs in the Middle East and North Africa region at Meta.
The meeting discussed the best global practices of Meta in building the digital identity of cities and governments, reflecting their cultural and heritage presence, and highlighting their investment opportunities to the regional and international audience through modern communication platforms.
The activation of cooperation programs that contribute to raising global awareness of the emirate’s tourism, cultural and development potential was also reviewed.
The meeting touched on the rapid developments in the field of artificial intelligence and the competitive race between international companies, as the Meta delegation stressed that the world is experiencing the beginnings of a new phase that requires legislative and technical preparation to keep pace with it.
Representatives of Meta provided a presentation on the company’s initiatives in empowering digital talent, developing youth skills, and developing training programs targeting government cadres, students, and entrepreneurs.
