El-Garhi: We seek to organize the African Basketball Championship for Women in a manner befitting Al-Ahly Club

Mohamed El-Garhi, a member of the Board of Directors of Al-Ahly Club and Chairman of the Supreme Organizing Committee of the Women’s African Basketball Championship, was keen to welcome the delegations participating in the tournament, which will be hosted by Al-Ahly during the period from 4 to 15 December of this year.
This came during the drawing ceremony that was held this evening at the club’s headquarters in Al-Jazira.
Al-Garhi conveyed to the officials of the African Basketball Confederation and club representatives, the greetings and appreciation of the Council Al-Ahly management, headed by Captain Mahmoud Al-Khatib, stressed that the organizing committee made great efforts over the past period in order to provide everything necessary for the teams participating in the tournament.
He explained during the draw ceremony: We seek to produce the tournament in an image that befits Al-Ahly club and its position in organizing the largest tournaments and events at various levels, and we thank the African and Egyptian Basketball Federations for the cooperation that took place over the period.
Al-Jarhi stressed that Al-Ahly has put in place many arrangements that allow all participating teams to compete in an atmosphere of sportsmanship, which reflects the status of African basketball and enhances its development.
The tournament draw resulted in Al-Ahly falling into the first group with the Rwandan side, the Ivorian Friends Association and Sporting Luanda. The Angolan club.
The opening match for Al-Ahly will be held tomorrow, Friday, against the Ivorian Society of Friends.
