The Spanish Ambassador to Cairo praises the relations between Spain and Egypt

 The Spanish Ambassador to Egypt, Sergio Carranza, praised the relations between the two countries, which have been raised to the level of a strategic partnership.

This came in the speech delivered by the Ambassador, Thursday evening, during the celebration held by the Embassy on the occasion of the forty-seventh anniversary of the Spanish Constitution.

 

The Ambassador added that the year 2025 is an important year for relations. The bilateral relationship between Egypt and Spain, where His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi visited Madrid during this year, and His Majesty King Felipe VI Felipe VI and Queen Letizia visited Egypt, in addition to the participation of Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez in the Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit, and finally His Majesty the King attended the opening ceremony of the Grand Egyptian Museum.

 

Carantha expressed his happiness for his presence in Egypt, which he described It is “the country he loves and respects.” Pointing out that he visited Egypt for the first time in 2004, before working at the Spanish Embassy in Cairo from 2011 to 2014, he pointed out that last February a strategic partnership agreement was signed between Spain and Egypt, and it is currently in the implementation phase to enhance cooperation in the fields of trade and investment, defense, justice and internal affairs, circular migration, education and development cooperation.

 

In the field of foreign policy, he stressed On the existence of a common vision for the future of the Mediterranean region, the necessity of ending regional conflicts, and implementing the two-state solution, a Palestinian state alongside the State of Israel, without delay.
