The movie “The Giant”
The movie “The Giant” narrates the epic biography of the famous boxer, nicknamed “Naz,” tracing his career from his humble beginnings in the United Kingdom, all the way to his rise to the world championship podium.
The film reveals, in a poignant dramatic narration, the challenges he faced, including racism and Islamophobia, during the 1980s and 1990s, and how he was able to turn them into a driving force for success.
International Cinematic Arena
The work also deals with the exceptional relationship he had with his Irish coach, Brendan Engel, who formed the cornerstone in building his athletic personality and his professional career.
The starring role is played by the Egyptian-British actor Amir El Masry, who gives a performance that is expected to be a milestone. A turning point in his artistic career, while the film bears the signature of the British-Indian director Rawan Athale.
