"Abu Dhabi Civil Defense" divorce "Community responder"

ABU DHABI, 5 December / WAM / The Abu Dhabi Civil Defense Authority, in conjunction with International Volunteer Day, which falls on December 5 of each year, announced its readiness to launch the “Community Responder” application, as a strategic initiative aimed at organizing volunteer work in the fields of civil defense and ambulance, and enabling community members to contribute an active role in the initial response when accidents occur.
The “Community Responder” will constitute an innovative platform that provides an integrated system for specialized volunteering, by providing a flexible registration process for all members of the community, and providing accredited training and qualification programs that contribute to raising the skills of volunteers in rapid intervention and providing initial assistance until the specialized response teams arrive, in addition to providing awareness and guidance materials that enhance the culture of preventive safety within the community environment.
The Authority confirmed that the application represents a qualitative leap in involving the community in a pivotal role in protecting lives and property, by enhancing the readiness of community responders and consolidating the values of positive citizenship and organized volunteer work within an institutional framework that supports the civil defense and ambulance system in the emirate.
