The Speaker of the Arab Parliament welcomes the Chinese and French positions calling for implementing the two-state solution

Mohamed bin Ahmed Al Yamahi, Speaker of the Arab Parliament, welcomed the positions of both the People’s Republic of China and the Republic of France that the two countries affirmed at the conclusion of the French President’s visit to China yesterday, Friday, in which they stressed the necessity of creating favorable conditions for the effective implementation of the two-state solution, as the only reliable way to achieve just and lasting peace and security, appreciating the two countries’ welcome in adopting the “New York Declaration.” Issued last September, it is the declaration recently adopted by the United Nations General Assembly during its resolution regarding the settlement of the Palestinian issue and the implementation of the two-state solution.
The President of the Arab Parliament also welcomed the emphasis of the Chinese and French leaders on the necessity of fully implementing the ceasefire agreement, which was reached in the city of Sharm El-Sheikh on October 9, and avoiding taking any step that might affect that, as well as the presidents of the two countries reaffirming the necessity of providing humanitarian aid and delivering it to the entire sector. In this context, the Speaker of the Arab Parliament appreciated the announcement by President Xi Jinping, President of the People’s Republic of China, to provide $100 million in aid to the Palestinians, to work to alleviate the human suffering of the Gaza Strip, adding that this aid comes as an embodiment and extension of the honorable positions adopted by the People’s Republic of China, in its strong support for the just cause of the Palestinian people, in restoring their legitimate national rights, as well as About the tireless efforts that China is making with the international community to establish a complete and permanent ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, alleviate the humanitarian situation there, and reach a just political settlement for the Palestinian issue, based on the two-state solution. The legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, foremost of which is the establishment of their independent state with the city of Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with the resolutions of international legitimacy and the Arab Peace Initiative.
The Speaker of the Arab Parliament stressed that the Arab Parliament will continue to support the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people at all regional and international levels, through parliamentary diplomacy, until they obtain all their rights and declare their independent state with the city as its capital. Jerusalem.
