Noura Al Suwaidi: Emirati women are a role model for sports empowerment with support and care "Mother of the Emirates"
Abu Dhabi, 8 December / WAM / Her Excellency Noura Khalifa Al Suwaidi, Secretary General of the General Women’s Union and President of the Emirates Women’s Sports Federation, confirmed that Emirati women, under the leadership of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, “Mother of the Emirates”, President of the General Women’s Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, have achieved qualitative leaps in all areas of their empowerment as a role model and provided a pioneering experience to the world.
Her Excellency Noura Al Suwaidi conveyed the greetings of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, “Mother of the Emirates”, to the female riders participating in Her Highness’s private stables endurance race in the women’s category, for a distance of 120 km, at the Emirates International Endurance Village.
She said that women in the UAE, with the support and care of the wise leadership, have achieved their leading position in the world, by empowering them in all sectors, providing ways for them to excel and develop, supporting their pivotal role in growth and prosperity, and consolidating their position as an inspiring model for the women of the world, with a rich and distinguished legacy through decades of giving and achievement in all fields.
She thanked and appreciated the Emirates Equestrian and Racing Federation and the Emirates International Endurance Village in Al Wathba, for the distinguished organization of the race and the implementation of programs that contribute to women’s athletic participation in equestrian championships.
Her Excellency congratulated the jockey Maryam Ali Karim on the occasion of winning first place in the race, and praised the honorable performance of the two jockeys, Kawthar Zaytoun and Amna Al Balushi, for winning second and third places. She praised the great participation of the rest of the jockeys in the 120 km race, and for taking on the challenge with great passion, celebrating the symbolism of this event, and the great value it represents in the souls of all participants.
