The Sri Lankan Army praises the efficiency and high capabilities of the UAE search and rescue team

The Sri Lankan Army praised the efficiency of the UAE search and rescue team and its high capabilities in dealing with difficult environments, the accuracy of field work, and the speed of reaching affected sites.

This comes at a time when the Emirates Search and Rescue Team continues to carry out its field missions in areas affected by floods and landslides in Sri Lanka.

Today, the team was able to find a new body in the Wattegama area, bringing the total number of bodies found to (19) bodies since the start of operations, while the search was temporarily suspended in the area due to heavy rains and collapses, and operations will resume tomorrow morning to complete the search for the missing.

In its operations, the team uses advanced equipment and specialized search dogs to comb the sites and reach those missing under the rubble and dust, as part of the urgent UAE response to support the friendly Sri Lankan people.
