Iran cannot participate in the World Cup under any circumstances

Iranian Sports Minister Ahmad Donia Mali said on Wednesday that Iran cannot participate in the 2026 FIFA World Cup after the United States killed Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

The minister added, speaking to state television, “Given that this corrupt regime (the United States) assassinated our leader, we cannot, under any circumstances, participate in the World Cup.”
