"ADNOC Logistics and Services" It receives the fourth new LNG tanker as part of its strategic plan to expand the fleet

Abu Dhabi, December 10 / WAM / ADNOC Logistics and Services PLC announced the receipt of the “Al Sadaf” tanker, which is the fourth of six new liquefied natural gas tankers that the company contracted to build with the Chinese “Jiangnan” shipyard. With the tanker being delivered on schedule, it will soon embark on its first commercial flight.

The delivery of Al Sadaf is part of a multi-billion dollar program to renew the ADNOC Logistics and Services fleet and increase capacity to enhance the company’s operational capabilities. This step also confirms ADNOC Logistics and Services’ commitment to building a multi-use fleet that achieves high energy efficiency, allows it to benefit from available global opportunities, and contribute to meeting the growing demand for low-carbon energy resources.

On the other hand, the company’s record performance during the first nine months of 2025 highlights the role of its strong strategy and disciplined implementation in achieving tangible growth. The fleet renewal and expansion program also contributes to enhancing the company’s profits and supports its long-term focus on creating value for its shareholders.

The tanker handover ceremony was attended by Captain Abdul Karim Al Musabi, CEO of ADNOC Logistics and Services; and Fatima Al Nuaimi, CEO of ADNOC Gas, who named the ship as sponsor of the tanker.

This joint celebration confirms the close cooperation between ADNOC Logistics and Services and ADNOC Gas in supporting the ADNOC Group’s integrated value chain, enhancing its contribution to meeting the world’s growing energy needs responsibly, and consolidating the principles of sustainability and operational excellence.

It is noteworthy that the capacity of the tanker “Al-Sadaf” is 175 thousand cubic meters, and it uses energy-saving technologies, including two main engines running on dual fuel of liquefied natural gas. The tanker was designed with features that help reduce methane emissions by up to 50% compared to previous tanker technology.

The remaining two LNG carriers from the Jiangnan Basin are scheduled to be delivered during the first half of 2026. These additions form part of ADNOC Logistics & Services’ broader new tanker construction program, which also includes the construction of nine ethane VLCCs and four ammonia VLCCs from the Shanghai shipyard.
