UNICEF moves its headquarters from Sanaa to Aden to ensure the safety of its work

The Yemeni Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor welcomed the decision of the United Nations Children’s Fund, “UNICEF”, to completely move its headquarters from Sana’a to the temporary capital, Aden, to ensure the safety and facilitation of its work.
The Ministry stated in a press statement reported by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), today, Wednesday, that the decision comes in response to repeated calls made by the Ministry a long time ago, The necessity of transferring the main offices of international and international organizations from the city of Sanaa, which is under the control of the terrorist Houthi militias, to the temporary capital, Aden. To ensure the safety of its work and to facilitate its humanitarian and development tasks.
The Ministry affirmed the keenness of its leadership, represented by the Yemeni Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Dr. Muhammad Al-Zaouri, to provide all forms of support and facilities necessary to enable UNICEF to perform its tasks more effectively in the temporary capital, Aden, and in a way that contributes to strengthening humanitarian and service work in various fields.
