Schools evaluate their performance in the first semester with parents’ votes

The administrations of a number of public and private schools that implement the Ministry of Education’s curriculum are evaluating their performance during the first semester of the current academic year 2025-2026, through the voices and opinions of parents of students in various educational cycles.

The administrations reported, through various school letters addressed to parents, which were reviewed by Emirates Today, that they are focusing on improving the educational work system, through the participation of students and the opinions of parents, stressing their keenness to strengthen channels of effective partnership with them, as they are a fundamental pillar in developing the educational process and achieving the desired outcomes.

All data
The schools invited parents to participate in the parent satisfaction survey for the first semester of the current academic year via a dedicated link, stressing that all data entered into the questionnaire is treated with complete confidentiality and is used exclusively for the purposes of developing educational services and improving the learning environment.

Quality of school performance
The questionnaire, the details of which were reviewed by Emirates Today, includes a comprehensive set of questions that measure the quality of school performance from various aspects, as it focuses on the level of respect and appreciation that parents feel from the administrative and teaching bodies, and the effectiveness of the communication channels provided by the school, in addition to their satisfaction with the quality of education provided to their children.

Students’ independence
The questionnaire surveys parents’ evaluation of the school’s efforts to enhance students’ independence and develop teamwork skills, in addition to its role in motivation, behavioral and academic follow-up, and the effectiveness of communication when any behavioral problems or frequent student absences arise.

Response speed
The questionnaire attaches importance to how quickly the school administration responds to parents’ inquiries and takes their opinions and suggestions into account, as well as measuring the extent of students’ academic progress and the school’s transparency in sharing periodic reports.

Special items
The questionnaire includes items related to the extent to which students feel safe within the school environment, the provision of academic support appropriate to individual needs, the organization of duties and tasks, the quality of the positive relationship between the teacher and the student, in addition to the diversity of school activities and events such as Happy Friday and Launch Joy, and the extent of their impact on raising students’ motivation.

Space for opinion
At the conclusion of the questionnaire, schools allocated a space to provide parents with the opportunity to present their opinions and suggestions, in order to enhance the constructive communication approach and achieve the principle of true partnership between the family and the school.

Improvement plans
The departments stressed that parents’ contributions represent an important focus in drawing up improvement plans and developing educational and communication methods, which contributes to creating a more distinguished and high-quality educational environment.
