In Sudan, a humanitarian truce and the continuation of unhindered aid are essential

Dr. Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash, Diplomatic Advisor to His Highness the President of the State, said in a blog post on the “X” platform: “Amid the conflict and declining support from donors, the United Arab Emirates pledges to provide $550 million to support the most vulnerable groups around the world.”

Gargash added: “In Sudan, a humanitarian truce and the continuation of unhindered aid are necessary, as this war cannot be won.”

He continued: “In Sudan and elsewhere, it is time to end the ‘extremist calculations in reducing aid.'”
