Saud bin Saqr witnesses the international premiere of the Finnish musical evening "Blue bird"


Ras Al Khaimah, 10 December / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, witnessed the first international performance of the Finnish musical evening “The Blue Bird… A charming Finnish tale in music and art”, which was organized by the Embassy of Finland and presented by the Finnish City of Lohia Orchestra with the participation of a number of musicians.
The ceremony, which was held in Al Hosn Square in the Al Jazeera Al Hamra heritage village in the emirate, witnessed the presence of Her Excellency Tuula Johanna Eriola, Ambassador of the Republic of Finland to the country, and a number of senior officials.
His Highness stressed that music plays a pivotal role in bringing people together, as it is a universal language that conveys feelings and ideas in a way that goes beyond words. Through musical and artistic performances, the public has the opportunity to learn about the cultures and experiences of others, and their diverse musical arts, which enhances mutual understanding and respect, and contributes to building cultural bridges based on dialogue and joint creativity.
His Highness said: In Ras Al Khaimah, we are keen for such events to be a bridge of communication between the peoples of the world, in a way that enhances common human values and enriches the cultural and artistic scene in the emirate. We also work to support cultural tourism and enhance national identity by combining local heritage with international arts.
His Highness, the Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, praised the performance of the participants during the evening, and the classical pieces they presented, full of feeling, that reflected the depth and aesthetics of the musical experience.
The evening presented an integrated artistic experience, in which a number of musicians and the Finnish city of Lohia participated, and combined music, literature, visual arts, and literary narration inspired by Finnish heritage.
The show included a group of musical works that conveyed the spirit of Finnish culture and reflected a deep artistic message centered around hope, friendship and tolerance, amid a distinctive heritage atmosphere that gave the concert an exceptional character.
