"Noor Dubai"Celebrates supportive partners

Dubai, December 12, 2017 – Noor Dubai Foundation, one of the institutions of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives, announced that its national program for periodic detection and treatment of eye diseases in the UAE recorded a noticeable increase in treatment rates amounting to 156%, equivalent to 554 patients, during the period from 2024 to 2025.
The program also witnessed a 47% increase in free examinations and early detection, with a special focus on categories of workers.
This came during the ceremony organized by the Foundation to honor its strategic partners and supporters, in the presence of His Excellency Dr. Alawi Al Sheikh Ali, Director General of the Dubai Health Authority and Chairman of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees, Nasser Al-Badour, Vice Chairman of the Council, and Dr. Manal Taryam, Executive Director and member of the Board of Trustees.
The Foundation explained that these results came as a result of expanding partnerships with relevant authorities and enhancing the role of volunteers, individuals and bodies, as volunteer contributions recorded an increase of 61% compared to last year, in line with the goals of the Year of Society 2025.
Dr. Alawi Al-Sheikh Ali said in his speech during the ceremony that the achievements reflect the commitment of the work teams and partners of the Foundation towards society, stressing the importance of continuing efforts to enhance the impact of the program and serve the beneficiary groups.
Nasser Al-Badour pointed out that Noor Dubai appreciates the support of its partners, and sees it as a fundamental pillar in the success of its national program and the achievement of its humanitarian goals.
Dr. Manal Taryam stated that the “Noor Dubai” program provided more than 7,000 free examinations during the year of society 2025, provided 1,273 medical glasses, and 1,391 beneficiaries were directed to undergo advanced examinations in optical centers, in addition to referring 392 patients to receive treatment in specialized hospitals.
The mobile clinic has continued to provide its services since its launch in 2014, benefiting more than 51,000 people, targeting the most needy groups in society.
