The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs delivered a speech in which he expressed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s thanks to the Republic of Turkmenistan for its initiative in the United Nations General Assembly, which led to the adoption of a draft resolution in the General Assembly to make the year 2025 AD the International Year of Peace and Trust, in order to enhance dialogue, encourage cooperation, and consolidate the principles of mutual respect on a global scale. He continued:" A lasting peace cannot be made simply by signing an agreement or treaty. His Excellency praised the Kingdom’s efforts in preventive diplomacy, which is based on mediation and peaceful resolution of conflicts, supporting regional stability, providing aid, promoting dialogue between cultures and religions, and supporting international organizations.
