The Attorney General of the Federation receives the Public Prosecution team of the Russian Federation
ABU DHABI, 13 December / WAM / His Excellency Counselor Dr. Hamad Saif Al Shamsi, Attorney General of the Federation, received the Russian team concerned with activating the subsequent protocol of the memorandum of understanding concluded between the Federal Public Prosecution of the United Arab Emirates and the Public Prosecution of the Russian Federation, at the headquarters of the Office of the Attorney General and Federal Prosecutions in Abu Dhabi.
During the meeting, the Federal Public Prosecution gave a presentation on modern technologies and the role of artificial intelligence in the work of the Public Prosecution. The Russian side also reviewed the experience of modern technologies and the uses of artificial intelligence in the work of the Public Prosecution of the Russian Federation. The two sides discussed a number of topics of common interest with regard to crime trends and the protection of the rights of individuals, and ways to activate the provisions of the protocol subsequent to the Memorandum of Understanding, and develop future plans to enhance bilateral cooperation.
On the second day of its official visit to the UAE, the delegation of the Public Prosecution of the Russian Federation held a joint meeting with the Emirati team to enhance international judicial cooperation, during which the two sides discussed a number of issues of common interest, reflecting their keenness to strengthen frameworks of judicial cooperation and exchange experiences in areas related to the work of the Public Prosecution.
In the same context, the Russian delegation held a coordination meeting with the Emirates Accounting Authority, in which the two sides discussed common issues and mechanisms for developing institutional integration between them, thus contributing to supporting national efforts in the areas of financial investigation and follow-up.
This cooperation comes within the framework of strengthening relations between the United Arab Emirates and the Russian Federation, in the areas of combating crime, protecting rights, and developing international cooperation tools.
