The UAE national team raises its tally to 8 medals in the Asian Youth Paralympics

The UAE National Team for People of Determination raised its tally to 8 colored medals, including a gold medal, a silver medal, and 6 bronze medals, on the penultimate day of the Asian Youth Paralympic Games currently being held in Dubai, with the participation of about 1,500 male and female players from 35 countries.
UAE players added 7 new medals to their tally, after the inaugural medal won by Thani Al Shehhi by winning a bronze in table tennis for the T3 category.
The new medals came with a gold medal for Hamid Al-Balushi in the discus throw competition, in addition to a silver medal for the same player in the club competition, while Matar Al-Ketbi won a bronze medal in the club competition. Mansour Ali Al-Qassab also achieved a bronze medal in the power lifts of 80 kg in his first participation, and Abdullah Al-Jilani added a bronze medal in the power lifts of 97 kg.
In the swimming competitions, the UAE national team won two bronze medals through Yousef Al-Marar and Mohsen Al-Jabri in two categories of the 400-meter freestyle race.
In terms of the most prominent results of the games and in the men’s wheelchair basketball competitions, the Iranian national team won the gold medal, while Japan won the silver medal, and the bronze medal went to the Thailand national team.
