Saudi environmental diplomacy succeeded in obtaining the approval of the United Nations Environment Assembly for a draft resolution it submitted to strengthen international cooperation in reducing land degradation, which reflects global confidence in the Saudi vision and its ability to lead thorny issues.
At the conclusion of his speech, the Deputy Minister called on the international community to support the specific initiatives put forward by the Kingdom, most notably the establishment of the “World Water Organization” and the “Riyadh Global Drought Preparedness Initiative,” describing them as an effective framework for unifying ranks in the world’s battle against scarcity.
