Abla Kamel responds to rumors that she needs treatment

Abla Kamel said, in an audio recording broadcast by media personality Lamis Al-Hadidi on her program “Al-Sawra”: “I reproach the people I love very much, who said that Abla Kamel needs money and needs treatment… Be kind to your hearts.” She explained that she enjoys a stable health condition, and that she underwent a number of surgeries at her own expense, before she was surprised by the decision of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to treat her at state expense.
The artist categorically denied what was recently circulated about her health or financial condition, stressing that this information is baseless. She stressed that her circle of acquaintances is limited, and that she did not make any media statements, nor did anyone close to her do.
Abla Kamel also confirmed that she does not have any accounts on social media platforms, and does not intend to create accounts in the future, calling for not to be led by the fake pages and accounts attributed to her.
She expressed her thanks to everyone who asked about her and reassured her condition, concluding her message by saying: “In general, I am forgiving, and we all forgive each other.”
For his part, the head of the Acting Professions Syndicate, Ashraf Zaki, said in a statement to “Erm News” that he was surprised by the Egyptian President’s decision regarding the state sponsoring the treatment of artists, explaining that there was no prior agreement with the relevant authorities to specify specific names. Zaki sent a message of thanks to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi in appreciation of this step.
