Why did Hend Sabry move away from the artistic scene?

Tunisian star Hend Sabry, in her latest media appearance on the program “Her Excellency” with the media personality Issaad Younes on the DMC screen, revealed the reasons for her staying away from the artistic scene during the past two years, after her latest dramatic work, “Searching for Ola.”

Sabry explained that the decision to be absent was conscious and intentional, and came as a result of personal, family, and health circumstances, noting that the most prominent reason was her mother’s illness and subsequent death, which prompted her to devote herself completely to caring for her during the period of her illness, stressing that she was unable to reconcile work, artistic preoccupation, and accompanying her mother during that difficult stage.

She also revealed an additional reason for her departure, which was that she felt a state of psychological burnout as a result of the pressure of continuous work for years, whether as an actress or as an executive producer in major works, which prompted her to stop to rearrange her priorities and restore her psychological and professional balance.

Sabry confirmed that she is proud of all the work she presented before the hiatus, but she has reached a stage where she is no longer able to enjoy success due to exhaustion and harsh family circumstances.

On the family level, Hend Sabry spoke about her style of raising her two daughters, noting her constant striving to find a balance between modern upbringing and the strict way in which she was raised, especially with regard to the value of academic excellence, without imposing her personal experience on them.

She also stressed the importance of building a friendship relationship with her daughters to understand Generation Z and get closer to their world and interests, stressing her keenness to share with them their artistic and cultural activities, even if that required following the stars of their generation and attending their concerts.
