المملكة: Dammam.. Al-Qadisiyah station enters service to relieve technical inspection bottlenecks

Declared Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization, represented by Vehicle Safety Center has announced the start of operation of a new additional site for periodic technical inspection in the city of Dammam in the Al-Qadisiyah neighborhood, to be a vital tributary that contributes to reducing waiting times and raising the level of geographical coverage of the service.
The launch of this new site comes in response to the increasing growth in the number of vehicles, and the keenness of the competent authorities to provide multiple alternatives to beneficiaries to ensure the smooth flow of work, as the center is located in a strategic location in the Al-Qadisiyah neighborhood for easy access from various parts of the city, which reflects a government commitment to improving Beneficiary experience and bringing vital services closer to residential neighbourhoods.
Confronting randomness
The operation of the new station is linked to the mandatory electronic appointment booking system to ensure the regulation of the flow of vehicles and prevent randomness, as the operating authority called on all those wishing to benefit from the service to book an appointment in advance through the platform designated for that, which ensures that drivers complete their procedures in record time and without the need to stand in long queues as was the case during peak times.
This step directly aims to enhance traffic safety standards on the roads by facilitating the periodic inspection process. And make it more flexible, as the increase in the number of inspection centers necessarily means an increase in the accuracy of the technical follow-up of the condition of vehicles and the exclusion of invalid ones, which is ultimately in the interest of protecting lives and public and private property.
Digital Options
The Authority has strengthened its technical system to keep pace with this expansion, as it has provided multiple digital options to beneficiaries, including Smartphones on various electronic stores, in addition to providing a unified call center to provide technical support and answer inquiries, to ensure a smooth beneficiary journey that begins with booking an appointment and ends with receiving the test result.
This project represents a model of integration between urban planning and safety requirements, as the new site is expected to serve a wide segment of the population of Dammam and neighboring areas, which will reduce the great pressure on the main station and redistribute traffic associated with service centers in a more parallel and efficient manner within the city.
