720 participants in the campaign "UAE is clean" Ras Al Khaimah

Ras Al Khaimah, 15 December / WAM / The Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah witnessed the organization of the sixth leg of the twenty-fourth session of the “Clean Emirates” campaign, which is organized by the Emirates Environment Working Group under the auspices of the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, and in partnership with the Department of Public Services in Ras Al Khaimah, the Environment Protection and Development Authority and the Ras Al Khaimah Police, in continuation of the campaign’s national role in promoting environmental awareness and consolidating the principles of sustainability.
The campaign witnessed the participation of more than 720 volunteers, distributed over two sites extending over 7.5 kilometers, and they were able to collect 2,327 kilograms of waste, in addition to 205 kilograms of recyclable materials.
Dr. Habiba Hassan Al Marashi, founding member and chair of the Emirates Environmental Action Group, confirmed that the campaign continues its role in promoting environmental awareness and volunteer work at the state level.
His Excellency Engineer Khaled Fadl Al Ali, Director General of the Public Services Department of the Ras Al Khaimah Government, also explained that the emirate’s participation in the campaign reflects its commitment to supporting national initiatives aimed at promoting sustainability and protecting the environment.
