The Emirates Energy Forum brings together sector leaders to chart the features of the next stage

Abu Dhabi, December 16 / WAM / The Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure organized the third edition of the Emirates Energy Forum 2025, with broad participation from decision makers, sector leaders and strategic partners, in a comprehensive national platform aimed at accelerating the transformation process in the energy sector and enhancing its readiness for the requirements of the future.
The forum, which was launched today in Abu Dhabi, witnessed the launch of the sixth edition of the State of Energy Report in the UAE, which provides a comprehensive reading of the most prominent developments and transformations in the sector, through seven chapters that review national policies, strategic visions, and technological innovations that support the reformulation of the energy production and consumption system, in line with the country’s goal of achieving climate neutrality by 2050.
The report was prepared in cooperation with the Ministry’s strategic partners, based on the contributions of an elite group of experts and specialists in issues related to zero neutrality and the future of energy. The report was supported by the Department of Energy – Abu Dhabi as the main sponsor, the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) and the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) as a platinum sponsor, the Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi as a gold sponsor, in addition to Dolphin Energy Company as a silver sponsor.
His Excellency Suhail bin Mohammed Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, stressed that the Emirates Energy Forum reflects the country’s firm commitment to building a sustainable and resilient energy sector capable of keeping pace with global transformations, noting that the State of Energy Report in the Emirates is a national reference that documents the extent of progress achieved, and outlines the features of the next phase of the transformation process in the sector, based on effective partnerships, innovation, and data-based policy formulation, in a way that enhances the UAE’s position as a leading global center in clean energy and sustainable development.
His Excellency said that what the UAE is achieving in the energy sector today is the result of a proactive leadership vision that believes that energy security and sustainability are two complementary paths, stressing that the country, by investing in practical solutions, expanding clean energy projects, and following a balanced approach that takes into account the requirements of economic growth and reducing emissions, continues to provide a realistic global model for energy transformation, by transforming climate commitments into development opportunities, and strengthening international partnerships that contribute to accelerating climate action, and ensuring a safe and sustainable future for future generations.
The third edition of the Emirates Energy Forum 2025 included a youth session dedicated to empowering youth and involving them in shaping the country’s energy future, where participants from the young generation reviewed their visions and ideas on issues of energy transition, climate change, and sustainable development, reflecting the country’s belief in the role of youth as partners in shaping the future.
The forum also included two technical sessions that discussed investment prospects and market dynamics in the transformation phase in the energy sector, in addition to the role of innovation, artificial intelligence, and research and development in supporting the future energy system, with the outcomes of these sessions contributing to directing the Ministry’s policies and initiatives during the next phase.
The Emirates Energy Forum is a leading national platform organized every two years that contributes to accelerating the transition towards clean energy, celebrates national achievements, and supports the drawing of a future road map that enhances the sustainability of the energy sector and consolidates the UAE’s leadership at the regional and global levels.
His Excellency Suhail bin Mohammed Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, also honored the winners and participants of the ninth edition of the Emirates Energy Management Award 2025, during the activities of the Third Emirates Energy Forum.
The award witnessed the participation of seven entities from the government and private sectors, who submitted advanced files that reviewed their experiences in implementing an energy management system in accordance with the “ISO 50001” standard and achieving an effective reduction in energy consumption.
The award is the national version of the “Leadership in Energy Management” program affiliated with the Clean Energy Ministerial, and constitutes a pioneering platform for promoting a culture of energy efficiency and motivating institutions to adopt the best sustainable practices.
The list of participating parties included: the Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi Foundation for Public Policy Research, the Dubai Municipality (with two participations from the Department of Urban Heritage and Antiquities and the Department of Public Maintenance), the Arabian Cement Manufacturing Company LLC, the Emsteel Group, in addition to the ENOC Retail Company LLC, and the Agthia Group.
The results resulted in the Emsteel Group winning first place, while Dubai Municipality – Department of Urban Heritage and Antiquities came in second place, and third place went to Agthia Group.
The participation of institutions holding the “ISO 50001” certificate contributes to supporting the National Program for Energy and Water Demand Management 2050, and achieving the national target of reducing energy demand by 42%.
