The modern pentathlon wins 8 colorful medals at the World Championships in South Africa

Mossel Bay – South Africa, December 16 / WAM / The UAE modern pentathlon team won 8 colorful medals, 5 silver, and 3 bronze in the biathle, triathlon, and laser run competitions, as part of its first international participation in the World Championships in South Africa, which was held in the city of Mossel Bay with the participation of 1,800 male and female players.

In the 9-year-old category (boys), the team won the silver medal in the biathle competition (teams), the silver medal in the triathlon competition (teams), and the bronze medal in the laser run competition (teams). The team was represented in this category by players Saeed Al Ketbi, Muhammad Al Qaidi, and Hamdan Al Qaidi.

In the 40-year-old category, the team achieved a remarkable achievement with 3 silver medals in the biathle, triathlon, and laser ring competitions through the players Adel Al Nuaimi, Khaled Abdullah, and Saeed Salem Al Kathiri.

In the general category (men), our team won bronze in the laser run competition, and bronze in the triathlon competition (teams), through the players Abdullah Muhammad Abdul Rahman, Hamad Issa Al-Dosari, and Ahmed Rashid Salem.

The delegation was accompanied by Dr. Hoda Al Matroushi, President of the Modern Pentathlon Federation, and board members Adnan Al Hashemi and Ahmed Al Badi, in addition to coaches Abdullah Al Aidi and Muhammad Qasim.

For her part, Dr. Hoda Al Matroushi expressed her happiness with the results achieved in this first global participation, which confirms that all the players were up to the responsibility and made every effort to reach this first global achievement.
