The Palestinian government signs a financing agreement with Germany for East Nablus worth 8 million euros

The Palestinian government signed an additional financing agreement for the sewerage project for eastern Nablus, funded by the German government through the German Development Bank (KfW), at a value of 8 million euros, to implement a project aimed at developing and managing the wastewater system in eastern Nablus and the eastern villages.
The Palestinian Ministry of Finance reported on Wednesday, in a press release reported by the Palestinian News Agency. “Wafa”, which brings the German government’s total financing for the project to 43.8 million euros, noting that the European Union is also contributing to financing the project through the German Development Bank (KfW). With an additional value of 17.1 million euros.
She indicated that the implementation of the project will extend over a period of five years, which will contribute to strengthening the infrastructure of the water sector and improving the environmental and health services provided to citizens.
She explained that on behalf of the Palestinian government, the Minister of Finance and Planning, Estephan Salameh, signed the It was signed on behalf of the German Development Bank (KfW) by its representative, Judith Itzler, and the director of the bank’s office in Ramallah and Al-Bireh, Arne Goss. The signing took place with the participation of the head of the Water Authority, Ziad Al-Mimi, and the mayor of Nablus, Hussam Al-Shakhshir, as the implementing agency and beneficiary of the project.
