Saqr Ghobash attends the Qatari Embassy’s ceremony on National Day
Abu Dhabi, December 18 / WAM / His Excellency Saqr Ghobash, Speaker of the Federal National Council, attended the reception held by His Excellency Dr. Sultan bin Salmeen Al Mansouri, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the country, yesterday evening on the occasion of the National Day of the sisterly State of Qatar.
The reception ceremony was also attended by His Excellency Abdullah bin Sultan bin Awad Al Nuaimi, Minister of Justice, His Excellency Sheikh Shakhbout bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State, His Excellency Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar, Minister of State, and His Excellency Omar Obaid Al Hassan Al Shamsi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The ceremony, which was attended by a number of officials and members of the Arab and foreign diplomatic corps accredited to the state, began with the national anthem of the two brotherly countries, followed by a visual presentation on the progress of fraternal relations between the UAE and the State of Qatar.
In his speech, His Excellency Dr. Sultan bin Salmeen Al Mansouri stressed the depth of the fraternal relations between the State of Qatar and the sisterly State of the United Arab Emirates, noting that the relations between the two countries are rooted in strong roots, strengthened by family, social and cultural ties between the two brotherly peoples, and contributed to consolidating common values that reflect the unity of destiny.
He also stressed that these relations have proven, over decades, their ability to develop, renew and adapt, based on a common legacy of cooperation and the spirit of kinship, noting that his country has the deepest and most established ties with the UAE.
He extended his congratulations to the leadership and people of the UAE, on the occasion of the 54th Union Day, praising the pioneering humanitarian role of the UAE, which has become a milestone in the international scene.
He said that the UAE has established a remarkable presence in the fields of humanitarian work, and has provided a pioneering model in harnessing its distinguished capabilities to serve people wherever they are, which is a role that is credited to it and reflects an authentic commitment to the values of giving and humanitarian responsibility.
He stressed that the State of Qatar continues to strengthen bilateral cooperation with the UAE in all fields, in a way that serves common interests and supports the aspirations of the peoples of the two brotherly countries towards a more prosperous future.
