Expo City Dubai launches a program to qualify Emirati graduates in sustainable development

Dubai, December 18 / WAM / The Real Estate Development and Delivery Department at Expo City Dubai has launched a new professional training path for Emirati graduates under the name “Exposure”, which aims to prepare the next generation of leaders in the field of sustainable urban development, within a two-year work contract that includes specialized training and opportunities to fill positions in the Real Estate Development and Delivery Department.
The program targets UAE nationals who have recently graduated within the past two years, in specializations including urban planning, engineering, and business administration, in addition to the fields of design, development, implementation, sales and marketing, program management, and procurement.
It allows participants to work on the master plan for Expo City Dubai, and gain practical experience in city-wide projects, under the supervision of real estate development leaders.
Those accepted will join Expo City Dubai on temporary contracts for two years. The first year includes specialized training and job rotation across a number of departments, while the second year focuses on delving deeper into one specialty according to performance assessment and work needs. Upon successful completion, the program provides the opportunity for direct promotion to key positions in real estate development and delivery management.
Ahmed Al Khatib, CEO of Real Estate Development and Delivery at Expo City Dubai, said that the city, as the main developer, is committed to creating smart, sustainable and resilient communities, stressing that the program invests in the energies of Emirati competencies by involving them in various aspects of urban planning, real estate and construction, and providing them with the leadership skills necessary to lead sustainable urban development.
For her part, Marjan Faraidouni, Chief Human Resources Officer and Head of Education and Culture at Expo City Dubai, said that the “Exposure” program embodies the city’s commitment to developing the skills of Emirati youth and enhancing their self-confidence, by providing practical opportunities to participate in building a sustainable city centered around people and innovation, which contributes to the preparation of highly competent national cadres.
The launch of the training track comes within the framework of Expo City Dubai’s commitment to keeping pace with developments in the field of sustainable urban living, linking academic knowledge with professional leadership expertise, and supporting the development of the city as a major center within the Dubai Urban Plan 2040, and in line with the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33).
Registration for the program was opened as of December 10, at a time when Expo City Dubai continues to implement multiple initiatives to embrace talent and raise national competencies, including the Change Makers Academy and the Return to Work initiative, which supports empowering women to resume their professional careers.
