The activities of the third day began with the organization of a workshop entitled “Theatrical Space and Scenography” presented by Professor Muhammad Jameel, It focused on the conceptual dimension of scenography as an effective element in building the directorial vision, and its role in transforming the theatrical space into an expressive medium that integrates with the dramatic text, through the use of light, mass, movement, and visual elements, which contribute to deepening the aesthetic and artistic experience of the participants.

Within the theatrical performances, the play “The Third Tableau” was presented by the Taif Theater Group, written by Fahd Al-Harithi and directed by Ahmed Al-Ahmari, which dealt with the internal conflict of a theatrical troupe. She searches for her identity among the diversity of artistic styles. The play presented a dramatic treatment that combined comedy, drama, and absurdity, to discuss the issues of the artist and his reality, and raise questions about the meaning between creativity and matter.

The show was followed by a critical reading presented by film critic Ayed Al-Baqmi, in which he discussed the dramatic structure of the work, its directorial choices, and its symbolic connotations, highlighting the tools of narration, the use of visual elements, and their impact in conveying the artistic message, which contributed to enriching the artistic discussion. And deepening the audience’s interaction with the theatrical work.

The festival witnessed the holding of an artistic concert performed by the artist Mohamed Fadl Shaker, amid a large audience presence that filled the theater’s stands, and a remarkable interaction from the audience with the concert’s segments, in an artistic atmosphere that reflected the great demand for the activities accompanying the festival.

Enjoyable entertainment experiences for visitors

During the ceremony, the artist presented a bouquet of musical works, including a number of songs by his father, the artist Fadel Shaker, which were well received. With warm applause and wide participation from the audience, it contributed to creating an interactive atmosphere that added an emotional dimension complementary to the theatrical program, within an integrated cultural experience that combines theater and music.

The activities accompanying the third day also varied between short and light-hearted performances that added a lively and interactive atmosphere to the festival, in addition to stand-up comedy shows that provided enjoyable entertainment experiences for visitors.

The Riyadh Theater Festival in its third session continues to strengthen its position as one of the most prominent events. Cultural activity in the Kingdom, as it aims to stimulate the theatrical movement, discover talent, and raise the level of public demand for theater, in line with the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 in enhancing the cultural and artistic scene in Saudi Arabia.
